Today in Burger Index Insights we dive into menu pricing and what factors influence price differences in any country. In this case we are looking at Big Mac dine-in and delivery pricing across all 582 McDonald's stores in Spain using Burger Index Discover.

Observations:

• Big Mac's price is higher on delivery platforms by 16.09% compared to dine-in

Dine-in:

• Big Mac's price ranges from €4.75 to €6.1 in the capital Madrid

• Price in suburban and low income areas is higher by 16.6% due to lower footfall

• Price in the city centre is lower by 19.95% due to higher footfall and higher competition

• Price in malls and gas stations is higher by 3.38% due to real estate cost

Delivery:

• Big Mac's price ranges from €4.3 to €7.35 in the capital Madrid

• Price in suburban and low income areas is higher by 11.63% due to lower footfall

• Price in the city centre is lower by 13.16% due to higher order volume and competition
