Since 1986, The Economist's Big Mac Index has served as a fun and insightful way to explore purchasing power parity (PPP) and the value of currencies worldwide. This year, as we mark the 38th anniversary of this iconic economic measure, we're sharing the latest rankings of Big Mac prices from more than 20 cities around the globe, from the towering prices in Zurich to the budget-friendly in Jakarta.

The index shows widening global purchasing power gaps and the impact of local economic conditions on prices.
